μέσος -η, -ον. Also μέσσος, -η, -ον. 1 The middle or midmost part of the ..., the middle or midst of the ...: μέσον ἱστίον Il. 1.481, Ἄργεϊ μέσσῳ (in the heart of ...) Il. 6.224. Cf.
