ἡγεμονεύω [ἡγεμών.] 1 To act as guide or pilot, show the way: θεός τις ἡγεμόνευεν Od. 9.142, Od. 10.141. Cf. Od. 17.194. With dat., to guide (a person), show (him) the way: δεῦρό οἱ ἡγεμόνευεν Od. 17.372. Cf. Od. 10.445. With cognate acc., to show (the way): ὁδὸν ἡγεμονεύσω Od. 6.261, Od. 7.30. Cf.
