Well, Socrates, I think you are right when you bid me try to begin every undertaking with the gods help, since the gods control the works of peace no less than of war. We will try, then, to do so. But now go back to the point where you broke off in your talk about estate management, and try to expound the subject completely step by step, since after hearing what you have said so far, I seem even now to discern rather more clearly than before what I must do to earn my living.

I suggest then,
resumed Socrates,
that we should first recapitulate those points of our discussion on which we have already reached agreement, in order that we may try to agree as thoroughly, if possible, when we go through the remaining steps.

Well 1 w 4
Socrates 1 w 13
I 1 w 15
think 1 w 20
you 1 w 23
are 1 w 26
right 1 w 31
when 1 w 35
you 2 w 38
bid 1 w 41
me 1 w 43
try 1 w 46
to 1 w 48
begin 1 w 53
every 1 w 58
undertaking 1 w 69
with 1 w 73
the 1 w 76
gods 1 w 80
help 1 w 85
since 1 w 91
the 2 w 94
gods 2 w 98
control 1 w 105
the 3 w 108
works 1 w 113
of 1 w 115
peace 1 w 120
no 1 w 122
less 1 w 126
than 1 w 130
of 2 w 132
war 1 w 135
We 2 w 138
will 1 w 142
try 2 w 145
then 1 w 150
to 2 w 153
do 1 w 155
so 1 w 157
But 1 w 161
now 1 w 164
go 3 w 166
back 1 w 170
to 3 w 172
the 5 w 175
point 1 w 180
where 1 w 185
you 3 w 188
broke 1 w 193
off 1 w 196
in 6 w 198
your 1 w 202
talk 1 w 206
about 1 w 211
estate 1 w 217
management 1 w 227
and 1 w 231
try 3 w 234
to 4 w 236
expound 1 w 243
the 6 w 246
subject 1 w 253
completely 1 w 263
step 1 w 267
by 1 w 269
step 2 w 273
since 2 w 279
after 1 w 284
hearing 1 w 291
what 1 w 295
you 5 w 298
have 1 w 302
said 1 w 306
so 2 w 308
far 1 w 311
I 2 w 313
seem 1 w 317
even 1 w 321
now 2 w 324
to 5 w 326
discern 1 w 333
rather 1 w 339
more 1 w 343
clearly 1 w 350
than 2 w 354
before 1 w 360
what 2 w 364
I 3 w 365
must 1 w 369
do 2 w 371
to 6 w 373
earn 1 w 377
my 1 w 379
living 1 w 385
I 4 w 387
suggest 1 w 394
then 2 w 398
resumed 1 w 406
Socrates 2 w 414
that 1 w 419
we 1 w 421
should 1 w 427
first 1 w 432
recapitulate 1 w 444
those 1 w 449
points 1 w 455
of 4 w 457
our 2 w 460
discussion 1 w 470
on 3 w 472
which 1 w 477
we 2 w 479
have 2 w 483
already 1 w 490
reached 1 w 497
agreement 1 w 506
in 11 w 509
order 1 w 514
that 2 w 518
we 3 w 520
may 1 w 523
try 4 w 526
to 7 w 528
agree 2 w 533
as 1 w 535
thoroughly 1 w 545
if 1 w 548
possible 1 w 556
when 2 w 561
we 4 w 563
go 4 w 565
through 1 w 572
the 9 w 575
remaining 1 w 584
steps 1 w 589
