Of the Sirens, trilling their song Od. 23.326. 2 In neut. ἁδινόν, as adv., of the expression of grief, with thick-coming bursts, vehemently: στοναχῆσαι Il. 18.124: γοόωσα Od. 4.721. ἐξάρχω [ἐξ-n(9).] 1 To take the lead in, give a lead in, begin. With genit.: γόοιο Il. 18.51, 316 = Il. 23.17, Il. 22.430, Il. 24.747, 761, μολπῆς Il. 18.606: = Od. 4.19. So in mid. Od. 12.339. 2 To take the lead in giving (counsel): βουλὰς ἐξάρχων Il. 2.273.
