ἀγλαός An epithet of commendation of somewhat indefinite meaning. 1 Of things or abstractions, splendid, fine, goodly, bright or the like: ἄποινα Il. 1.23, ὕδωρ Il. 2.307. Cf. Il. 1.213, Il. 2.506, Il. 7.203, Il. 19.385, Il. 23.262, etc.: ἱστόν Od. 2.109, ἔργα Od. 13.289. Cf. Od. 3.429, Od. 4.589, Od. 6.291, etc. 2 Of persons, goodly, fine or the like Il. 2.736, 871, Il. 11.385 (see κέρας 4), etc.: Od. 3.190, Od. 11.249, etc.
τέκνον τό [τεκ-, τίκτω.] 1 In pl., offspring, children : νήπια τέκνα Il. 2.136, σὰ τέκνα Il. 24.542. Cf.
