Aesch. to die, v. supr. the part. τελευτῶν, ῶσα, ῶν, was used as adv., at the end, at last, τελευτῶν ἔλεγε Hdt.; κἂν ἐγίγνετο πληγὴ τελευτῶσα there would have been a fray to finish with, Soph.; τὰς ὀλοφύρσεις τελευτῶντες ἐξέκαμνον at last they got tired of mourning, Thuc. of a country, to come to an end, Hdt.
