ταρφύς
thick, close, Aesch.; pl. masc. and neut., like Lat. frequentes, ταρφέες ἰοί thick-flying arrows, Il.; ταρφέα δράγματα Il.:— neut. pl. ταρφέα as adv. ofttimes, often, Hom.:— ταρφειαί in Il. must belong to a nom. ταρφειός, unless we write ταρφεῖαι, from ταρφύς.
