of persons, σπ. πρός τινα to be busy with him, Plat.; σπ. περί τινα to be anxious for his success, canvass for him, Xen.; ὑπέρ τινος Dem.
absol. to be serious or earnest, Ar., etc.; ἐσπουδακότι προσώπωι with a grave face, Xen.
