προβουλεύω fut. σω to contrive or concert measures before, Thuc.:—Mid. to debate or consider first, Hdt., etc. of the Senate at Athens, to frame or pass a προβούλευμα, Xen., Dem.; of magistrates, to propose decrees, Thuc.:—impers. in Pass., τῇ βουλῇ προβεβούλευται, c. acc. et inf., it has been decreed that, Xen. to award by a decree of this kind, Dem. to have the chief voice in the senate and in passing decrees, Xen. πρ. τινός to deliberate for one, provide for his interest, Ar., Xen.
