= πατρικός, derived from oneʼs fathers, hereditary, οἱ π. θεοί Hdt., Ar., etc.: —τὰ πάτρια, Lat. instituta majorum, κατὰ τὰ πάτρια Ar., Thuc., etc.; rarely in sg., τὸ πάτριον παρείς neglecting the rule of our fathers, Thuc. Cf. πατρῷος.
