Some tenses of Mid., esp. fut. and aor1, are used in causal sense: to bring forward, produce, Xen.; esp. in a court of justice, Dem. to bring to oneʼs side, and so, to bring over by force, bring to terms, Hdt., Soph., etc. to gain by kindness, win over, Thuc., Dem. generally, to dispose for oneʼs own views or purposes, Hdt.
