ὀρεχθέω,
only in pres. and Epic imperf. ὀρέχθεον
either to stretch oneself or struggle in the throes of death (from ὀρέγομαι), or (akin to ῥοχθέω) , to gasp in the death-ruckle, Il.; of the heart, to palpitate, Ar.; of the sea, to stretch itself, i. e. roll up, to the beach, Theocr. (in Doric inf. ὀρεχθῆν) .
