Ὀδυσσεύς Ὀδυσσεύς, έως, Lat. Ulysses, Ulixes, king of Ithaca, whose adventures after the fall of Troy are told in the Odyssey: Epic Ὀδυσεύς, Aeolic gen. Ὀδυσεῦς: acc. Ὀδυσσέᾱ, but the two last syll. form one in Soph. Cf. ὀδύσσομαι.
