μεῖον, ου, τό the lamb which was offered at the Apaturia, when a boy was enrolled in his φρατρία. It was to be of a certain weight; and the φράτερες, whose perquisite it was, used to cry out μεῖον, μεῖον, too light! cf. μειαγωγέω.[neut. of μείων, less]
