καταχέω fut. -χεῶ aor1 κατέχεα Epic κατέχευα Pass., 3rd sg. Epic aor2 κατέχυτο Pass., 3rd pl. Epic aor2 κατέχυντο to pour down upon, pour over, τί τινι Hom.; also, κατ. τί τινος Hdt., Attic:—Pass., κατὰ ταῖν κόραιν ὕπνου τι καταχεῖται a bit of sleep is poured over the eyes, Ar. to pour or shower down, Hom.: to throw or cast down, Hom.; πέπλον κατέχευεν ἐπʼ οὔδει let the robe fall upon the pavement, Il.
