A). any jutting part of a mountain, whether upwards or forwards; hence,
1). peak, περὶ ῥίον Οὐλύμποιο , cf. 8.25 14.154 , 225 , etc.; ῥ. ὀρέων ; 9.191 ῥ. οὔρεος h.Ap. 139 .
2). headland, ; hence as pr. name of several places, esp. 3.295 Ῥ. Μολυκρικόν and Ῥ. Ἀχαϊκόν at the mouth of the gulf of Corinth, (cf. 2.86 84 ).
