A). breaking, bursting, φλεβίου Aph. 4.78 ; sc. ὀστέου VC 12 ; πλευμόνων Ir. p.28 W. (pl.); ἐμπύρους τ’ ἀκμὰς ῥήξεις τε, i.e. both the pointed flames and the broken (the former a good omen, the latter bad), Ph. 1256 ; κατὰ ῥῆξιν νέφους Mu. 394b17 , cf. Stoic. 1.34 ; ἀέρος ῥ., as the effect of a mighty shout, Flam. 10 .
2). breaking forth, τῶν καταμηνίων Aph. 3.28 (pl.); αἵματος ῥ. διὰ ῥινῶν Prog. 7 ; discharge, Aph. 5.15 , Epid. 6.6.12 .
