ῥαβδίον
ῥαβδ-ίον, τό, Dim. of ῥάβδος,
A). little rod or shoot, HP 3.17.6 , 1.14 ; the wand of Hermes, 117.9 , Epict. 3.20.12 ; ἀπὸ ῥαβδίου οἰακίζεσθαι, of horses, 17.3.7 .
2). barbel or filament appended to the lips of certain fishes, which are said ῥαβδεύεσθαι τοῖς ἐν τῷ στόματι, ἃ καλοῦσιν οἱ ἁλιεῖς ῥαβδία HA 620b32 .
4). ῥαβδία ἀκοντίων perh. javelin shafts, BCH 35.16 (Delian inventory).
