A). judged first, δίκα π. a cause which has priority of hearing, ( Locr., v B.C.), cf. 9(1).334.32 Michel 497.2 (Aerae, iii B.C.), etc.
2). Act.,judging in first instance, πόλις Schwyzer 328a ii B 8 (Delph., iv B.C.), cf. GDI 5040.63 (Crete).
3). decided by arbitration, ἐθέλω δίκην δοῦναι πρόδικον Fr. 267 ; ἵνα ἀπολάβῃς τὴν τιμὴν τοῦ βάρδου πρόδικον BGU 276.12 (ii/iii A.D., cf. ii p.355 ).
