A). taking one's meals at home, οἰ. υἱός Anaxandr. 24 , cf. Luc. Somn. 1 ; οἰ. τοὺς γάμους πεποιηκέναι, i.e. without inviting guests outside the family, Men. 450 ; living at one's own expense, unpaid, οἰ. ἐκκλησιαστής Antiph. 200 ; οὐκ οἰ. τοὺς ἀκροατὰς λαμβάνεις Men. Kith.Fr. 6 ; οἰ. νυμφίος a bridegroom who takes his bride without (or not on account of) a portion, Id. 103 , cf. Ath. 6.247e ; τοὺς διακονοῦντας ἐν τοῖς γάμοις οἰκοσίτους μισθώσασθαι paying for their food out of their wages, Thphr. Char. 22.4 , cf. IG 22.1672.62 ; πεζοὶ οἰ., of militiamen, Plu. Crass. 19 .
