μοιχός, ὁ,
A). adulterer, paramour, 74 , Fr. [1127.6] , Pl. 168 , Smp. 191d , etc.: prov., θύραν, δῑ ἧς γαλῆ καὶ μ. οὐκ εἰσέρχεται 6 ; ὅρκοι μοιχῶν 7 ; κεκαρμένος μοιχὸν μιᾷ μαχαίρᾳ having the head close shaven with a razor, as was done by way of punishment to persons taken in adultery, Ach. 849 .
II). generally, paramour, of a sodomite, POxy. 1160.26 (iii/iv A. D.). (Cf. ὀμείχω.)
