μοιχός, ὁ,
A). adulterer, paramour, , 74 Fr. [1127.6] , Pl. 168 , Smp. 191d , etc.: prov., θύραν, δῑ ἧς γαλῆ καὶ μ. οὐκ εἰσέρχεται ; 6 ὅρκοι μοιχῶν ; 7 κεκαρμένος μοιχὸν μιᾷ μαχαίρᾳ having the head close shaven with a razor, as was done by way of punishment to persons taken in adultery, Ach. 849 .
