(v. infr.); imper. μνώεο A.R. 1.896 , al.; opt. μνώοιο Max. 74 ; Ion. impf. μνάσκετο Od. 20.290 : only pres. and impf., exc. aor. μνήσατο (in signf. 11.1 ) Eup. 413 .

2). after Hom., sue for, solicit a favour, office, etc., μνώμενος ἀρχήν Hdt. 1.96 ; μνώμενον βασιληίην ib. 205 ; φιλοτιμίαν μνώμενοι ἢ στάσιν Pi. Fr. 210 ; εὔνοιαν ἑαυτῷ παρὰ τῶν στρατιωτῶν μ.
