A). μείρεο Il. 9.616 ; elsewh. in Hom. and Hes. only 3 sg. ἔμμορε (which is prob. aor. (v. infr. II) and was so understood by later Ep. Poets, who have 2 sg. ἔμμορες A.R. 3.4 ; 3 pl. ἔμμορον cited by EM 335.24 , ἐξ-έμμορον Nic. Th. 791 : but pf. 3 pl. ἐμμόραντι· τετεύχασι Hsch. ); we also have (as if from μορέω) fut. μορήσω EM 335.23 : pf. μεμόρηκα Nic. Al. 213 ; for pass. forms v. infr. III:—receive as one's portion, with collat. notion of its being one's due: c. acc., καὶ ἥμισυ μείρεο τιμῆς take half the honour as thy due, Il. l.c.; later, divide, ἀροτήσιον ὥρην τριπλόα μείρονται Arat. 1054 .
II). in form ἔμμορε (ἔμμορες, etc.), obtain one's share of, c. gen., οὔ ποθ’ ὁμοίης ἔμμορε τιμῆς Il. 1.278 ; πάντα δέδασται, ἕκαστος δ’ ἔμμορε τιμῆς 15.189 , cf.
