A). the Lyceum, a gymnasium at Athens, named after the neighbouring temple of Apollo Λύκειος, Ar. Pax 356 , X. HG 1.1.33 : a resort of Socrates, Pl. Euthphr. 2a , Euthd. 271a ; here Aristotle used to discourse, whence his disciples were called Λύκειοι Περιπατητικοί, Elias in Cat. 112.31 .
