A). town-hall, council-chamber, as the Achaeans of Achaea Phthiotis called it, ; = 7.197 δημόσιον acc. to Rom. 26 , :— 2.280a has λάϊτον· τὸ ἀρχεῖον, λαΐτων· τῶν δημοσίων τόπων; cf. λαιετόν, λαῖστρον, , :— also quotes ληΐτη, λῃτή, = ἱέρεια , a public priestess.
