A). covered earthen vessel, wider at bottom than at top, wherein bread was baked by putting hot embers round it, (in form 2.92 κλιβ-), Fr. 309 , Ach. 86 , V. 1153 , al., ; 176.5 οὕτως εἰμὶ ὡς εἰς κρίβανον POxy. 1842.7 (vi A. D.); potter's oven, (iii B. C., 271.9 κλ-).
