A). obtain by allotment, esp. of conquered lands divided among the conquerors, κ. τῶν Χαλκιδέων τὴν χώρην , cf. 6.100 SIG 332.6 (iv/iii B.C.), 502.41 (Samothrace, iii B.C.), BC 5.74 (and in Med., ib. 27 ): generally, ἄλλοι κατ’ ἄλλους τόπους κληρουχήσαντες θεῶν Criti. 109c .
2). inherit, Ps. 81(82).8 .
III). settle one as an allotment-holder, in Pass., PCair.Zen. 254 (iii B.C.), PTeb. 5.36 (ii B.C.).
