κατατυγχάνω,
A). hit one's mark, reach the object of .. ,[τῆς ἐλπίδος] 6 ,cf. 138 ; τῆς στρατείας 13.3 ; τῆς σπουδῆς NA 3.25 .
2). abs., to be lucky or successful, opp. ἐξαμαρτάνω, 18.178 ; τὴν θέσιν εὔχεσθαι δεῖ κατατυγχάνειν as to the situation of the city, one must hope to be successful, Pol. 1330a37 .
4). Pass., in abs. sense, τὸ κ. ap. 4.39.27 .
II). to be in office at the time, ὁ κ. ἀρτυτήρ Test.Epict. 4.37 , cf. IG 12(3).249.36 (Anaphe).
