II). epith. of departed souls to whom offerings were made (cf. foreg.), παρ’ εὐδείπνοις ἔσῃ ἄτιμος ἐμπύροισι κνισωτοῖς χθονός A. Ch. 484 ; taken by some Gramm. as applied to the festival itself, Hsch., Phot., EM 42.3 .
