2). of things, to be customary, be the fashion in a place, περὶ Ἀθήνας Arist. Pol. 1341a34 ; μαθήματα τοῖς Ἕλλησιν -άζοντα Stesimbr. 4J. ; παρά τισι Plb. 6.46.3 ; τῇ νήσῳ Str. 10.5.9 :— Pass., to be the custom or fashion, v.l. in Arist. Pol. 1335a16 (nisi leg. -άζει), cf. Nymphis 9 .
