Od. 12.392 ; νώμησεν δ’ ἄρα πᾶσιν ἐ. 13.54 ; standing by, A.R. 1.293 ; ἐ. οὐτάζοντες standing up to each other, Id. 2.84 .—The words of Od. 16.453 , δόρπον ἐ. ὡπλίζοντο, seem to have given rise to the other expl. of the Sch., ἐπισταμένως, ἐμπείρως (as if from ἐπίσταμαι).
