ἐπισταδόν
ἐπιστᾰδόν, Adv.,(ἐφίστημι, ἐπιστῆναι)
A). standing over each in turn ( ἐφιστάμενος ἑκάστῳ EM 364.35 ), i.e. one after another, successively, νείκεον ἄλλοθεν ἄλλον ἐ. 12.392 ; νώμησεν δ’ ἄρα πᾶσιν ἐ. 13.54 ; standing by, 1.293 ; ἐ. οὐτάζοντες standing up to each other, 2.84 .—The words of 16.453 , δόρπον ἐ. ὡπλίζοντο, seem to have given rise to the other expl. of the Sch., ἐπισταμένως, ἐμπείρως (as if from ἐπίσταμαι).
