A). fit to or upon, fasten, θύρας σταθμοῖσιν ἐπῆρσεν on or to the posts, Il. 14.167 ; ἐπὶ δὲ ζυγὸν ἤραρεν ἀμφοῖν h.Merc. 50 .
II). intr. in Ion. pf. ἐπάρηρα [ᾰρ], plpf. ἐπᾰρήρειν:—fit tight or exactly, μία δὲ κληῒ ἐπαρήρει a cross-bolt was fitted therein, Il. 12.456 ; part. ἐπαρηρώς, close-fitting, well fixed, εὖ ἐπαρηρὼς ποσσίν firm on his feet, Arat. 83 : also ἐπάρμενος, Ep. aor. part.
