ἐκοχ-ή, ἡ, ἐσδοκά IG 5(2).6.40 :—
A). receiving fromor at the hands of another, succession, πομποῦ πυρός Ag. 299 ; ἐκδοχαῖς ἐπιφέρει θεὸς κακόν Hipp. 866 ; ἐ. ποιεῖσθαι πολέμου to continue the war, 2.30 .
II). taking or understanding in a certain sense, interpretation, ἐ. ποιεῖσθαι 3.29.4 , cf. UPZ 110.86 (ii B.C.); ἐξ ὧν ἦν λαμβάνειν ἐκδοχὴν ὅτι.. 22.7.6 , cf. SIG 557.18 (Magn.Mae., iii B.C.), Sch. O. 13.100 .
