II). Med., hide oneself, hide one's face, Ar. Pl. 707 , etc.; ἐγκαλυπτόμενος καθεύδειν And. 1.17 ; of persons at the point of death, X. Cyr. 8.7.26 , Pl. Phd. 118a , etc.: metaph., conceal one's feelings, c. part., νεμεσῶν ἐνεκαλύπτετο App. BC 2.69 .
