II). causal, cause annoyance, ῥήματ’ ἢ τέρψαντά τι ἢ δυσχεράναντ' S. OC 1282 ; δ. τὴν ὁδόν make it difficult, App. Ill. 18 :— Pass., to be disagreeable, τοῖς ἀκούουσι Arist. Rh.Al. 1432b19 : abs., ib. 1437a33 .
