δάψιλ-δε, an enclitic post-position: joined,
I). to names of Places in the acc., to denote motion towards that place, οἶκόνδε ( Att. οἴκαδε) home-wards, ἅλαδε sea-wards, Οὔλυμπόνδε to Olympus, Αἴγυπτόνδε to the Nile, θύραζε (for θύρασδε) to the door (v. sub vocc.); repeated with the possess. Pron., ὅνδε δόμονδε ; sts. after 16.445 εἰς, εἰς ἅλαδε ; after the gen. 10.351 Ἄϊδόσδε.
b). to names of persons, Πηλεΐωνάδε ; to Prons., 24.338 ἡμέτερόνδε, ὑμ-, , 8.39 ; 23.86 ὅνδε, v. supr. In Att. mostly joined to the names of places, Ἐλευσῖνάδε, etc.; also Ἀθήναζε, Θήβαζε (for Ἀθήνασδε, Θήβασδε); rarely, in Att., with appellatives, as οἴκαδε.
c). to time-words, βουλυτόνδε (v. βουλυτός).
II). to the demonstr. Pron., to give it greater force, ὅδε, τοιόσδε, τοσόσδε, etc., such a man as this (v. sub vocc.).
