A). free from business (πράγματα), easy-going, fond of quiet, esp. of those who refrain from meddling in politics, opp. πολυπράγμων, ὅστις δὲ πράσσει πολλά .. μωρὸς παρὸν ζῆν ἡδέως ἀπράγμονα E. Fr. 193 ; τῶν ἀ. γε πόρνων κοὐχὶ τῶν σεμνῶν [τις ὤν] Eup. 8.4D. ; esp. with political connotation, not meddling in public affairs, 'mugwump', ἄν τιν’ αὐτῶν γνῷς ἀπράγμον’ ὄντα καὶ κεχηνότα Ar.
