ὕπ-ομβρος, ον,
A). mixed with rain, θέρος ὕ. a rainy summer, Cam. 3 (as v. l. for ἔπομβρον) ; ἔαρ Gp. 1.12.21 ; νύξ EM 450.49 ; γῆ Im. 1.9 , cf. Bel. 82.28 , 97.27 ; impregnated, ἀσφάλτῳ VA 1.24 .
II). ὕπομβρον ὀστέον ap. , who explains it as ὑπόνομον καὶ κάθυγρον γεγονός, and ap. , who says 19.149 ὕφυγρον, ὑπόπυον, where the reference is to VC 15 ; μόλις ὕπομβρον γενόμενον καὶ κατακλυσθὲν τὸ ἱερεῖον apparently drenched, as t.t. in divination, . 2.438a
