τρῑβώλετερ, obscure word found only in : cited by 38 , who attests its metrical form (-- 11.3 &&), and by in Theod. 1.262 H., al., who says it is an Aeol. voc., proparox., and means εἶδος ἀκάνθης: the quantity is against Bergk's derivation from Τρῐβολολετηρ 'caltrop-devourer'.[τριβωλ- codd. , τριβολ-, τρεβολ-, and τριβαλ- codd. ]
