ἀντιλαβή
ἀντιλᾰβ-ή, ἡ,
A). thing to hold by, handle, ὅπως ἂν .. μὴ ἔχοι ἀντιλαβὴν ἡ χείρ 7.65 ; of a shield, οὔτε πόρπακας οὔτ’ ἀντιλαβὰς ἔχει 3.3.6 .
3). metaph., πολλὰς .. ἔχει ὑποψίας καὶ ἀντιλαβάς gives many handles against one, points of attack, Phd. 84c ; so ἀ. διδόναι Rh. 8.15 ; παρέχεσθαι Tim. 20 .
4). Gramm., in dramatic dialogue, division of a line between two speakers,
