Cōmum, i, n., = Κῶμον, a considerable town in Gallia Transpadana, the birthplace of the younger Pliny, now Como, Liv. 33, 36, 14; Plin. Ep. 1, 3, 1; Just. 20, 5, 8; Plin. 3, 17, 21, § 124; rebuilt by Caesar; hence also called Novum Comum (Νεόκωμον), Suet.
