A dwelling, tarrying, abiding, lingering, sojourning (so only in Cic.): villa et amoenitas illa commorationis est, non deversorii, is suitable for a place of residence, Cic. Fam. 6, 19, 1: tabellariorum, id. Q. Fr. 3, 1, 7, § 23 (and perh. urbana, id. Fam. 9, 15, 3). — In rhet. lang., a delaying, dwelling upon some important point, Auct.
