cŏlumnārĭus, a, um, adj. columna, of or pertaining to a column; only subst., * cŏlumnārĭus, ii, m., one who was condemned at the Columna Maenia (v. columna, A.); therefore a criminal or debtor, Cael. ap. Cic. Fam. 8, 9, 4.— cŏlum-nārĭum, ii, n., a tribute for the pillars of a house, a pillar-tax, Cic. Att. 13, 6, 1; Caes. B. C. 3, 32; cf. columnar.
