Pistōrĭum, ii, n., a city in Etruria, where Catiline was defeated and slain, the modern Pistoia, Plin. 3, 5, 8, § 52.—Hence, Pistōriensis, e, adj., of or belonging to Pistorium, Pistorian: ager. Sall. C. 57, 1: milites Pistorienses, with a play upon the word pistor, Plaut. Capt. 1, 2, 58.
