Phўlăcē, ēs, f., = Φυλακή. A city of Thessaly, where Protesilaus reigned; its ruins are near the mod. Ghidek, Plin. 4, 9, 16, § 32.—Hence, Phўlăcēis, ĭdis, adj. f., Phylacian: matres Phylaceides, Ov.
