This verse is hendecasyllabic, consisting of a spondee, a dactyl, and three trochees (e. g. vidi credite   per lacus Lucrinos), Aus. Ep. 4, 85; Diom. p. 509 P.; Terentian. p. 2440 ib.; Mart.
