R. 1, 35: spatia, Col. 8, 3; 11, 3: scrobes, Pall. 3, 24: palmarem in minutiem contrahi, Arn. 6, 204.— Of palms, full of palms, palm-: lucus, Amm. 24, 4, 7.— Trop., that merits the palm or prize, excellent (class.): statua, Cic. Phil. 6, 5, 15: sententia, id. N. D. 1, 8, 20: dea, the goddess of victory, because she is represented with a palm-branch, App. M. 2, p. 116, 2.
