Pharsalia).—Hence, Pălaestīnus, a, um, adj., of or belonging to Palœste or Epirus (as the entrance to the Lower World), Palœstian: Palaestinae deae, the Furies, Ov. F. 4, 236 (where Meletinas is a better reading): arenae, Luc. 5, 460.
