A noble Trojan, who was in favor of restoring Helen and making peace with the Greeks; after the fall of Troy, he went to Italy and founded Patavium (Padua), Serv. ad Verg. A. 1, 247; Ov. M. 13, 201; id. F. 4, 75; Liv. 1, 1.— Hence, Derivv. Antēnŏrĕus, a, um, adj., pertaining to Antenor; or, Patavian, Paduan, Mart. 1, 77; 4, 25.— Antēnŏrĭdes, ae, m., a male descendant of Antenor, Verg.
