Latmus, i, m., = Λάτμος, a mountain in Caria, at the mouth of the Mæander, where Luna (Selene) kissed the sleeping Endymion, Cic. Tusc. 1, 38, 92; Mel. 1, 17; Plin. 5, 29, 31, § 113.— Hence, Latmĭus, a, um, adj., of or belonging to Mount Latmus, Latmian: Latmius Endymion, Ov. A. A. 3, 84: venator, Endymion, Val. Fl. 8, 28.— Latmĭădēus, a, um, adj., the same; of Endymion, Mart. Cap. 9, § 919.
